This work package is divided into distinct deliverables that will enhance and modernise existing services.
Each deliverable is timeboxed to maintain agile and iterative working while ensuring measurable outcomes.
- Key Deliverables
- Provide technical leadership across D365 and Power Platform development activities.
- Understand and assess existing CRM systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the maintenance, enhancement and development of existing services.
- Provide technical guidance and resource planning for wider development and testing teams.
- Support the transition from the incumbent supplier and ensure continuity of development and testing activities.

Education Estates (EE) Digital, Data and Technology (DDT) activities support the national school condition and construction programmes.
Historically, DDT projects have been delivered tactically, often resulting in technical debt.
This So W aims to support long-term development planning and scoping while reducing technical debt and establishing sustainable, scalable solutions.
The Lead D365 Developer will play a key role in providing technical leadership across CRM and Power Platform development, ensuring solutions are aligned with Df E technical standards and wider government standards.

- Lead and provide technical direction to D365 and Power Platform development teams.
- Own and contribute to technical solution design and architectural decisions.
- Review technical requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable solutions.

- Extensive commercial experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Strong experience with Dynamics 365 CE/CRM development.
- Strong experience with Power Automate, Power Pages and Dataverse.
- Proven experience leading D365/Power Platform development teams or technical workstreams.
- Strong experience in solution design and technical architecture.
- Strong development experience using C#, Java Script, Power FX and Fetch XML.
- Experience developing and deploying Dynamics 365 C# plugins.
- Strong experience with Azure Dev Ops and Git for source control, CI/CD and ticket management.
- Experience with Azure Functions and other Azure services such as Blob Storage.
- Strong understanding of CRM integrations and API-based solutions.
- Experience with JSON, XML and XSLT.

- Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies.
- Support recruitment, technical assessment and mentoring of developers where required.
