The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Business Development Executive to grow our Workday sales and AMS services portfolio within the public sector. You’ll play a key role in generating leads, qualifying opportunities, supporting bid responses, and nurturing long-term relationships that result in new revenue streams. This is a growth-oriented role — ideal for someone commercially savvy and passionate about cloud technology and digital transformation in government.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive net new business across UK central and local government for Workday implementation and AMS support services.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach, market research, referrals, and event networking.
- Work closely with internal bid, delivery and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and tailored proposals.
- Support RFI, RFP and framework submissions, providing compelling value propositions.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Workday’s proposition, particularly in public sector environments.
- Represent Scrumconnect at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements.
- Track all sales activity through our CRM and provide regular forecasting and pipeline reporting.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years’ experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in a public sector tech/consulting environment.
- Understanding of cloud ERP systems like Workday, Oracle, SAP, or similar (Workday knowledge preferred but not essential).
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with public sector clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a persuasive and consultative approach.
- Organised, self-motivated, and results-driven.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-led environment.
