Scruffy Dog Creative Group is seeking an Estimator (Theming & Scenic Elements) to develop accurate cost estimates for scenic fabrication, rockwork, show sets, props, and other themed elements. This role requires a deep understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques in the themed entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for scenic theming, props, show sets, and rockwork.
- Review design drawings and specifications to assess material and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure estimates reflect feasibility and constructability.
- Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers, fabricators, and subcontractors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality.
- Prepare bid documents and pricing breakdowns for client submission.
- Maintain a cost database of theming-specific materials and suppliers.
- Support post-bid reviews, analyzing cost variances and improving future estimates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in themed entertainment, attractions, scenic fabrication, or live events.
- Strong knowledge of scenic materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
