HEARING CARE ASSISTANT – Scrivens Hearing Care

Are you an experienced Hearing Care Assistant looking for a role where your contribution genuinely matters? Scrivens Hearing Care is one of the UK's largest and most established hearing and optical healthcare providers, operating across a national network of branches and medical centres. In Sussex, our medical centre hearing services are growing rapidly, and we are looking for a skilled, experienced Hearing Care Assistant to join us and play an active part in that growth.

The role

This is a hands‑on, patient‑facing position working alongside our Hearing Aid Audiologists to deliver a high‑quality hearing care service across our Sussex medical centre locations. You will be an integral part of the clinical team, not a peripheral one. Day‑to‑day, you will support the aftercare and servicing needs of our hearing aid patients, assist with hearing aid maintenance and minor repairs, help patients get the very best from their devices, and ensure that every appointment runs smoothly and every patient leaves feeling well supported. We work across both NHS and private hearing care pathways, which means there is genuine variety in the work and a broad range of patients to assist. Our Sussex medical centres are busy, established, and continuing to grow – and the right person will find real professional satisfaction in being part of that environment.

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience working in a hearing care environment in a support or assistant capacity
  • Familiarity with hearing aid maintenance, minor repairs, and aftercare
  • Confident and empathetic approach with patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy clinic diary effectively
  • Experience supporting both NHS and private pathways is an advantage

Why Sussex -- and why now

Sussex is a genuinely rewarding part of the country to work in. From the coastal towns of Eastbourne and Brighton to the market towns and villages of the High Weald and the Downs, it is a county with a strong sense of community and a patient population that values and relies on accessible local healthcare. Demand for hearing services across Sussex is high and growing, and Scrivens is actively investing in its presence here to meet that demand. We have a number of medical centre sites across the county, spanning both East and West Sussex. Whether you are based in the east, the west, or somewhere in between, we would encourage you to apply; we will always look to match the right candidate to a location that works for them. This is a role with substance, in an area where your work will have a visible and lasting impact on the people you support.

Why Scrivens

You will be joining a national provider with the infrastructure, clinical leadership, and professional support to help you do your job well. You will not be working in isolation; there is a wider team around you, experienced management, and a clinical framework that takes consultation quality and patient outcomes seriously. We value the contribution of our Hearing Care Assistants, and this role reflects that. If you are experienced, motivated, and ready to be part of a busy and growing service, we would like to hear from you.
