About the role As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager in leading and developing a dedicated team to deliver exceptional customer service, drive branch performance, and ensure operational excellence. You will act as a role model, inspiring your team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of clinical care. Responsibilities Assist in managing the daily operations of the branch, ensuring smooth and efficient service Support and motivate the team to achieve individual and branch sales targets for optical and hearing products and services Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing customer needs with professionalism and empathy Assist in staff training, coaching, and performance management Manage stock levels, merchandising, and branch presentation to company standards Help coordinate local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns Step in as acting Branch Manager when required, including opening and closing the branch What were looking for We are looking for someone with previous experience in retail or healthcare, ideally within an optical or audiology setting. A strong background in customer service and sales is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to lead, motivate, and support a team is also important. We value individuals who are organised, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure. Basic IT skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are also desirable.
