Scripture Union Scotland is a national charity that employs around 120 staff and has more than 2,200 volunteers. Our vision is to enable every child and young person in Scotland to explore the Bible and respond to the significance of Jesus. Our centres regularly host school groups for residential experiences, youth group weekend breaks and a variety of SU Holidays. We use outdoor activities to build relationships, foster new skills and promote teamwork among young people.

We currently have a vacancy for a House team member (casual worker contract) at our newest residential centre in Gowanbank, Darvel. As a member of the house team, you will support the cleaning and preparation of the centre for guests and may also help serve and support our catering team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with cleaning and preparation of the residential centre between group visits.
  • Support catering team duties as required.
  • Work as part of a team to carry out house turnarounds within tight time schedules.
  • Maintain high standards of excellence in all aspects of work.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Enjoy working alongside others in a team setting.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Be willing to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and pass a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.

Close reading of SU Scotland's Basis of Faith and Ethos statement is encouraged.
