Our client, a growing e-commerce company is looking foraDatabase Administrator (DBA)to join their team with exposure to MySQL on a remote, permanent basis.You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the support for the SQL Servers and Databases and leading the design and query optimisation to achieve a highly scalable system.You will be part of a major migration to the cloud, so prior experience of cloud migration would be highly desirable.You will have the following experience and knowledge:
- Experience administering, supporting and building Linux based MySQL databases in a business-critical production environment
- OS: Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, PowerShell, BASH Windows
- Databases: MySQL, Percona, Couchbase, NoSQL concepts
- Languages: Shell T-SQL, PL/SQL
- Cloud exposure, specifically migration
Experience in the following will be advantageous:
- Web applications
- Messaging services RabbitMQ
- Jenkins Crones
- GCP experience
- Cloud SQL
- Spanner
- Mentoring or team leadership
This role can be worked remotely, onsite (on the South Coast or Manchester) or as a hybrid. Travel to the office will be required occasionally. Please do get in contact for further detail.
