Ready to support the smooth delivery of complex projects? We’re looking for a Project Operations Assistant to join a growing UK-based operations and delivery team working on live, multi-stage construction and design projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys organisation, structure, and being trusted to take ownership of their work. You’ll support operational and project teams, helping ensure projects are well organised, accurately documented, and progressing to plan.
Location: Reading
Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days on-site / 2 days from home
What You’ll Be Doing- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support across multiple live projects
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions
- Maintain accurate document control, correspondence, and project records
- Support project and operations teams with trackers, reporting, and programme updates
- Monitor procurement and production schedules, chasing orders where required
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to keep projects running smoothly
- Update internal systems, trackers, and project management tools
- Assist with quality and compliance-related tasks, ensuring records are audit-ready
- Support basic design and documentation processes, including drawing checks and uploads
- Plan and organise daily workloads, prioritising tasks effectively
This role suits someone who enjoys a high level of autonomy. You’ll be given clear tasks, guidance, and priorities, and trusted to manage your workload independently. While support, documentation, and instructions are always available, success in this role comes from being comfortable focusing, organising your own time, and getting on with tasks without the need for constant supervision.
What We’re Looking For- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (used regularly for trackers, reporting, and data updates), as well as Word and Outlook
- Clear, professional communication skills
- A reliable, proactive, and methodical approach to work
- Work on real, physical projects from order through to delivery
- Enjoy a balanced hybrid working pattern (3 days on-site / 2 from home)
