This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a fast-paced ecommerce team and help shape how we invest a large-scale paid search budget. As a Paid Search Specialist, you’ll work closely with our PPC agency and in-house Paid Search team to deliver ambitious traffic and revenue targets, while keeping a sharp eye on ROI. You’ll be hands-on with optimisation, insight, and testing, and play a key role in translating marketing intent into high-performing search activity. Key responsibilities

  • Optimising spend allocation of a substantial paid marketing budget ensuring we deliver the required return on investment
  • Support the construction and execution of a multi-market business strategy through paid search that delivers against our targets
  • Collaborate with Google, Microsoft, and third-party agencies to manage paid search projects, employing a test-and-learn methodology
  • Ownership of monitoring and optimising our Google Shopping feeds to identify opportunities for improvements that drive commercial value and ensuring the business is consistently keeping up with best practice
  • Analyse market and competitor trends, providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders that improve revenue & ROI performance and strategy
  • Collaborating with cross-function teams, ensuring our campaigns and strategies align to the wider business goals
  • Pro-actively monitor and analyse campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimise ROI and revenue results
  • Build and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards, including communicating key insights and actions to varying levels of business stakeholders and share these reports where relevant
  • Conduct external research as to keep up to date on the latest external PPC advancements in an evolving environment - share this insight with Line Manager as to supporting thinking within future ways of working, continuous improvement and change
  • Act as the PPC bridge into marketing, understanding campaign intent, translating it into search activity, and feeding back performance learnings.
  • Plan and optimise promotions, ensuring accurate assets, aligned with marketing campaigns.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experienced in carrying out analysis from several data sources to provide multi market insight to the wider business.
  • Experience in managing relationships & communicating with other stakeholders.
  • Competent in Microsoft office applications
  • Previous paid search experience including use of Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics and SA360 is advantageous.
  • Strongly analytically minded with the ability to pull together the key stories from large data sets.
  • Logical thinker, who can break tasks & data into manageable, simple processes.
  • Able to communicate and work effectively in a matrix, cross functional environment.
  • Thrives within a changing, fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Is commercially aware, understanding the changing habits of customers and how it’s applied to Screwfix.
  • Takes ownership of decisions that improve ways of working, performance and customer experience.
  • Proactively finds improvement opportunities and brings fresh ideas.
