The way customers shop is constantly evolving. The way we build and manage our ranges needs to evolve with it. We are looking for a Range Performance Analyst to help us understand how our product ranges perform across the whole Screwfix ecosystem. From trade counters to digital channels, this role will bring together the data, insight and context that helps us make smarter commercial decisions.

You will analyse how ranges perform holistically across all channels, benchmarking products across financial, operational and customer metrics. Your work will help shape how Screwfix evaluates and evolves its ranges going forward. You will also play an important role in preparing our commercial data for future range and assortment planning tools. This means organising, structuring and enabling scalable data that supports better decisions long term. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data but is equally comfortable translating insight into clear recommendations that influence how a business operates.

This is a fixed term contract/secondment opportunity until the end December 2026.

What’s in it for you?

  • Discretionary annual bonus up to 20%
  • 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays, 5 of which can be taken flexibly)
  • Hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home
  • Flexible start and end times around core working hours
  • Buy More Holiday – eligible colleagues can boost their holiday allowance by up to one extra week
  • EV Car Scheme in Partnership with Tusker – eligible colleagues can lease a brand‑new or pre‑loved electric vehicle
  • Up to 14% employer pension contributions
  • Life cover up to 4× your salary
  • Health cash plan and discounted gym memberships (up to 25% savings)
  • 20% discount at Screwfix and B&Q

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse product and range performance across all customer channels to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Prepare data and insight which is compelling, providing narrative and recommendations to support strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Create a unified performance view across channels to support strategic assortment planning, including financial performance, availability, returns, and customer demand.
  • Lead and drive the organisation and cleansing of product, sales, and customer data to prepare for integration into an Assortment Planning Tool.
  • Build a product benchmarking framework using core data sets (financials, returns, availability, sell‑through, customer feedback, etc.).
  • Effectively manage and manipulate from the various data sources into compelling data visuals with narrative and recommendations.
  • Provide clear, data‑led insight to support and influence the end‑to‑end range review process.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial, merchandising or insight roles in a retail or multichannel environment.
  • Able to cleanse, structure and model large data sets to create usable insight.
  • Knowledge of how customer behaviour differs across retail channels and how this impacts range decisions.
  • Able to turn complex data into clear, compelling insight for business stakeholders.
  • Experience working across trading, digital, and data teams to align on priorities and deliver change.
  • Precision in data management and a structured approach to data improvement.
