We're looking for a Commercial Operating System Manager to play a key role in shaping how Commercial works across Screwfix. This role is responsible for embedding our commercial operating system into day-to-day ways of working, ensuring our principles, decision frameworks and governance are applied consistently across categories, channels and fulfilment models.
Qualifications:
- Strong commercial experience within a retail, marketplace, or multi‑channel environment, with exposure to multiple fulfilment models or routes to market.
- Experience translating strategy or principles into practical frameworks, ways of working, or governance that teams can apply day-to-day.
- Proven ability to work across functions and manage complex stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes without relying on formal authority.
- Demonstrated capability in simplifying complexity, identifying inconsistency or duplication, and designing pragmatic solutions.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous and evolving environments, bringing structure, clarity and pace to problem solving.
- Experience supporting or embedding change into business‑as‑usual operations, rather than running standalone programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to turn insight into clear options and recommendations.
Why this role matters:
This role sits at the heart of commercial transformation. You'll help create the structure that allows the business to grow at pace, operate with clarity, and make confident decisions across an increasingly complex retail environment. - 33 days' holiday (including bank holidays, 5 of which can be taken flexibly).
- Hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home.
- Flexible start and end times around core working hours.
