At Screwfix, we’re looking for an organised, detail-driven HR Administrator to help keep our HR operations running smoothly, accurately and compliantly. You’ll play a key part in maintaining high-quality colleague records, documentation and HR systems, ensuring everything is accurate and up to date, while supporting governance across HR by championing data integrity, GDPR compliance, audit readiness and robust processes and controls. Hybrid working is available with up to 2 days from home, and the role includes working at Trade House, Mead Avenue, Yeovil BA22 8RT.

Responsibilities

  • Update the HRIS and maintain accurate colleague records, ensuring data protection procedures are followed.
  • Manage the HR invoicing portal across HR operations, including processing invoices and providing updates/analysis.
  • Support organisational structure management in the HRIS, including updates, data integrity and organisational charts.
  • Maintain the HR Operations job role matrix and process confidential employment contracts for new hires and contractual changes.
  • Produce employment and financial references for 3rd parties and provide data for internal and external audit processes.
  • Run monthly reports, chase outstanding compliance documentation with colleagues and stakeholders, and deliver cyclical and ad hoc reporting for the HR Operations team and the wider business.
  • Maintain and update working instructions, process guides and version control documents.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and maintaining HR Portal(s).
  • Assist with delivery of projects within the team to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Complete activities to ensure data accuracy and compliance with retention policy; identify and address areas of risk or non-compliance, escalating issues as needed.
  • Provide support and advice to senior stakeholders, colleagues and managers on HR queries, ensuring service levels are met.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider HR team and the business as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous administration experience – ideally within a Human Resources team.
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels and external partners.
  • Well organised, able to manage several tasks and plan ahead to meet deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to handle information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and ideally SAP HR.
