WHO I AM
Seb Von, 24, CEO & founder of Screw Loose. Based in Bermondsey, London. Ex Yes Theory editor, worked with lots of creators as a storyteller / editor / director & founded Screw Loose June 2024. Now it has grown to a 4 person team making out of the box, viral, creative ads for some of the coolest & fastest growing brands in the world.
Creative, extremely ambitious, high-energy, big picture thinker. Naturally struggles with organisation, memory, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Nice guy, will always back those who consistently work hard & always put their best foot forward. Gets frustrated at people if they’re disrespectful, lazy or slack. Gives lots of opportunities to people - everyone around him / those who work with him develop a lot as long as they’re good people! Cares a ton about standards & creating the best videos in the world - greatness is the goal.
HOW I COMMUNICATE
Thinks and communicates in voice notes & text messages & of course in person / in calls. Needs replies back as text so actions can be taken (not voice notes back) as one of the most important things is time saving. Casual and direct - no corporate fluff, tries to be considerate & phrases things nicely but sometimes gets straight to the point. Wants things executed, not instructions given back. Gets frustrated if people don’t acknowledge or respond to messages timely - this applies more so to people who work with him.
HOW I WORK BEST
- Needs someone to catch things falling through the cracks.
- Needs someone to completely take charge of all admin & organisational things in life & business - personal life as a priority, then business secondary.
- Bad at calendaring - things need to go in immediately or they’re forgotten.
- Struggles to context-switch between creative and admin.
- Works across multiple time zones (NY, London, Cape Town frequently).
SCREW LOOSE
Gen-Z out the box creative advertising agency. Only agency to have worked with MrBeast, Yes Theory, Simon Squibb, and Monte. Growing fast with a beautiful pink office in Southwark with space for 6. Goal = become Gen-Z's most revered creative agency.
ATTITUDE
Be proactive, if you see something that could be better, fix it without waiting to be told.
PERSONAL
Email: Mix of extroverted & introverted - gets energy from meeting awesome people, but also needs time alone for a day or two after too much back to back time around others.
THINGS I’M GOOD / GREAT AT:
- Very good networker.
- Good at sales.
- Good at leading & growing company as a whole.
- Talented & very good at ideation.
- Good creative director.
- Very good editor & good storyteller.
THINGS I’M NOT GOOD AT / DON’T ENJOY:
- Time management & organisation.
- Managing calendar.
- Memory.
- Admin tasks.
- Paying staff & invoices.
- Creating & sending contracts.
NON-NEGOTIABLES:
- Trust - must be able to trust this person with sensitive information, financial numbers, personal things & business finances.
- Reliability - don’t want to have sleepless nights over if they can be relied on.
- Get along with each other.
- Timely responding to texts & messages - good communication is essential.
- Highly organised / very capable at being highly organised.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Can be fully creative and fully in sales mode. Not worry about admin at all - just knows that the whole side of the business & personal life is handled. People in the company know what’s going on even if he doesn’t (timelines & scheduling wise). Gets a lot of time back to do more pitching, sales & ideating.
