Intro
We are looking for a motivated Business Intelligence and Reporting Manager to join our Business Systems team.
In this role, you will transform complex global data into reliable semantic models, reports, and dashboards that support decision-making across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and other business functions.
Our data landscape is international and not standardized.
You should be comfortable working with incomplete or inconsistent data, questioning requirements, setting priorities, and creating sustainable solutions.
- What will you do
- Designing, developing, and maintaining professional Power BI reports and dashboards
- Building and managing scalable Power BI semantic models, designed with future AI capabilities in mind
- Designing fact tables, dimensions, relationships, hierarchies, and star schemas
- Developing reusable and performant DAX measures
- Writing, maintaining, and optimizing T-SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server
- Preparing and transforming data using SQL, Power Query, and Power BI
- Integrating data from ERP, CRM, Excel, APIs, and other business systems
- Validating and reconciling data against source systems
- Challenging unclear requirements and identifying the actual business problem
- Investigating data-quality issues and clearly communicating limitations
- Managing workspaces, semantic models, refreshes, gateways, permissions, and row-level security in the Power BI Service
- Prioritizing reporting requirements based on business value, effort, urgency, and data availability
- Training and supporting BI users across different departments, countries, and cultures
- What do we expect
- Several years’ experience in a similar role, with practical experience on Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Strong knowledge of semantic-model design and dimensional modelling
- Strong DAX and Power Query skills
- Solid Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL experience
- Ability to write queries using joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, views, and stored procedures
- Experience working with complex, inconsistent, and non-standardized data
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Ability to understand Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and other business processes
- Confidence in questioning requirements and challenging legacy reporting approaches
- Can-do attitude, ownership, critical thinking, and the ability to set priorities
- Fluent language skills in English, German language skills are an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, SSRS, SAP Business One, CRM systems, DAX Studio, Git, or Azure data services is a plus
