Our client, a global leader in data centre solutions, is seeking an experienced HV-authorised Shift Engineer to join their team in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a critical data centre environment, supporting high-profile banking and enterprise clients. You will be part of a high-performing team maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance across all systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain HV electrical systems, UPS, generators, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Manage both single-phase and three-phase systems.
  • Maintain VRV systems and other mechanical plant as required.
  • Work safely and efficiently on a continental shift pattern (6 on / 4 off, days and nights).
  • Ensure all activities comply with site policies, health & safety, and client standards.
  • Support critical operations in a high-stakes banking or data centre environment. HV authorisation is essential.
  • Demonstrate proven experience working in data centres or critical banking facilities.
  • Show strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under high-pressure conditions.
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining operational excellence.
