My client is seeking experienced Pastoral Managers to support the delivery of a large, high-profile summer school for 16–17-year-old international students. They are looking for individuals with strong experience working with young people, ideally in supervisory roles on large summer programmes or within education settings. You must be confident making safeguarding decisions, communicating clearly, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pastoral Managers will lead teams of staff, make informed decisions around programme delivery and safeguarding, and help coordinate a busy schedule of social activities. The role also involves managing pastoral mentors, who act as the first point of contact for students during evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise up to 50 pastoral mentors, running daily briefings, allocating shifts, and monitoring attendance and conduct.
- Maintain accurate records of mentor working hours and manage the sign-in/sign-out process for payroll.
- Oversee the social programme during weekday evenings and weekends.
- Manage breakfast and dinner sittings, ensuring dietary needs are met.
