Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced FX Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the end-to-end operational, regulatory, and commercial execution of the firm’s foreign exchange brokerage business. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and scalable operations across client onboarding, trading infrastructure, liquidity management, settlements, risk controls, and client service. The Head of FX Operations will play a critical role in supporting revenue growth, protecting the firm’s license, and delivering a best-in-class client experience in a highly regulated, fast-paced brokerage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brokerage Operations & Execution
- Oversee daily operations of the FX brokerage, including trade execution, order routing, post-trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, and payments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and integrity of trading platforms and related infrastructure.
- Manage operational support for retail, professional, and institutional clients across multiple jurisdictions.
- Regulatory, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee AML, KYC, sanctions screening, client appropriateness, and ongoing monitoring processes.
- Act as a senior point of contact for regulators, auditors, banks, and external service providers.
- Ensure timely regulatory reporting, governance meetings, and policy updates.
- Technology & Platform Management
- Partner with technology teams and vendors to manage trading platforms, CRM systems, risk engines, payment gateways, and reporting tools.
- Drive automation and straight-through processing (STP) across the trade lifecycle to reduce errors and costs.
- Ensure cybersecurity, data protection, system resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Client Experience & Service
- Oversee client onboarding, account funding, withdrawals, and customer support functions.
- Ensure efficient resolution of trade disputes, complaints, and escalations in line with regulatory standards.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to support client acquisition, retention, and product launches.
- Financial & Vendor Management
- Oversee operational budgets, cost controls, and vendor management.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with liquidity providers, technology vendors, payment service providers, and outsourcing partners.
- Monitor operational profitability metrics, including cost per trade, platform costs, and payment processing efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in FX brokerages with leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of FX brokerage models.
- Hands-on experience with FX trading platforms, liquidity aggregation, and prime brokerage structures.
- Proven track record managing regulatory relationships and multi-jurisdictional operations.
