BBC Studios are looking for a new Casting Assistant to support the smooth running of the in‑house Drama Casting department by coordinating auditions, managing actor availability, and facilitating the casting process across multiple high‑profile productions. The role ensures Casting Directors and senior staff are equipped with accurate information, well‑organised sessions, and high‑quality audition materials.
By engaging with talent networks, conducting outreach, and maintaining strong industry relationships, the Casting Assistant helps discover and champion diverse performers, contributing directly to the creation of outstanding scripted content. This is a hybrid role based at Roath Lock, Cardiff with a minimum of at least two days in the office, plus ad-hoc as required. Occasional travel to other BBC sites will also be required, including London and other cities across the UK.
You will join a creative, fast‑paced casting department at the heart of producing some of the UK’s most‑loved dramas, such as EastEnders, Casualty and Pobol y Cwm. You’ll work closely with experienced Casting Directors, contribute to shaping on‑screen talent, and gain hands‑on experience across auditions, outreach, and production.
