Scratch Creative is an independent design and production studio creating refined physical experiences for some of the world’s leading brands.
From our Battersea studio, we bring creative thinking, design development and production delivery together under one roof.
Our work spans flagship retail, pop ups, exhibitions, live events and large scale brand activations across the UK and internationally. We work closely with ambitious brands to turn ideas into physical environments that are considered, commercially effective and beautifully delivered.
As the studio continues to grow, we’re looking for a mid to senior level Producer to join the team and take ownership of projects and client relationships from initial brief through to final delivery.
THE ROLE
Sitting at the centre of the project team, you’ll own the overall project lifecycle, working closely with our Directors, designers and Production Managers to take a brief from initial conversation through creative development, production and live delivery.
You’ll be the day to day lead for your clients, building strong relationships while maintaining control across scope, budget, programme and quality.
This isn’t a traditional account management role. We’re looking for someone who understands creative production, can contribute to the development of an idea and has the confidence and experience to genuinely lead a project.
You’ll work alongside an allocated Production Manager who owns the detailed fabrication, technical, logistics and onsite production workstream, allowing you to maintain focus across the bigger picture.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Owning projects from initial brief through to delivery and reconciliation
• Leading day to day client relationships and building long term account consistency
• Interrogating briefs and working with our Directors and designers to develop strong creative responses
• Building and managing project budgets, scopes, programmes and critical paths
• Leading internal kick offs, client meetings, presentations and project communications
• Managing feedback, approvals, scope changes and commercial implications
• Working closely with designers to maintain creative ambition against budget and programme
• Partnering with Production Managers to align creative, commercial and production workstreams
• Maintaining clear visibility across project performance, risks, resource and deadlines
• Supporting new business, pitches and the development of existing client relationships
• Leading onsite where required across UK and international projects
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced Producer, Senior Project Manager or experiential project lead who knows how to take ownership of a complex creative project and move it forward.
You understand the realities of delivering physical experiences and are comfortable moving between client conversations, creative reviews, project budgets and live environments.
You’re creatively minded without needing to be the designer, production literate without needing to personally manage every fabrication detail, and commercially sharp enough to understand what makes a successful project for both the client and the studio.
Most importantly, you take ownership. When a project is yours, you care about the relationship, the idea, the commercial result and the quality of the final experience.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years’ experience across experiential, retail, exhibitions, activations, live events or creative production
• Proven experience owning projects from initial brief through creative development, production and live delivery
• Strong client facing and relationship management experience
• Experience managing significant project budgets, scope and commercial performance
• Strong understanding of physical production, fabrication, technical delivery, logistics and installation
• Confidence working closely with creative teams, Production Managers, suppliers and venues
• Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving skills
• Calm, proactive and decisive when working under pressure
• Experience delivering projects onsite
• Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally
International experience, major brand experience and a background delivering £500k+ projects would all be advantageous.
WHAT WE OFFER
We’re intentionally lean, collaborative and hands on. You’ll have genuine ownership of your projects and clients, working directly with our Directors, design team and production specialists rather than through layers of agency management.
• Competitive salary + discretionary bonus
• Unlimited holiday
• Flexible working between our Battersea HQ and remote
• Personal development allowance
• Choice of hardware and software
• UK and international travel
• The opportunity to lead ambitious work for some of the world’s leading brands
If you want to lead brilliant projects, build long term client relationships and turn ambitious ideas into exceptional physical experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
