About Us

We are the clear market leader in our sector and one of the fastest-growing car buying companies in the world. In the UK, we generate over 100,000 customer enquiries each month and book in tens of thousands of vehicles over the same period through our high-traffic websites and nationwide operations. We have now launched across the United States, with multiple states already live and an ambitious plan to expand nationwide.

Our rapid expansion and success have been driven by outstanding people, a strong culture, and our ability to lean into the advantages of cutting-edge technology. We are not a speculative startup. We have been established for over 15 years, are highly profitable, and have achieved this scale without external funding. That gives us both security and momentum – and yet, despite our size, we have kept the excitement, energy and ambition of a startup. Our team is collaborative, ambitious and relentlessly driven to be the best and most exciting place to work in our sector.

Our aim is bold: to build a billion-dollar valuation within the next five years. Along the way, we want our growth to make a positive difference to others. We have already donated over £1 million to various charities, and as we scale, so too will our donations.

We offer a great base salary but the real game changer is what comes over the longer term. Because of the huge opportunity for growth in the US, we intend to explore opportunities to provide equity in the business for those who make an exceptional impact in driving this expansion.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly capable Paid Media Manager to take ownership of significant paid media spend across multiple platforms. This is a high impact, high visibility, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, lives close to the data, and can move from execution to insight to action quickly.

Working alongside the Head of Paid Media, you will operate within a deliberately flat structure. This is not a conventional deputy role: you will both take substantial ownership, challenge each other and work collaboratively to drive the strongest possible commercial results. You will plan, execute, optimise and report across paid channels, with particular ownership of Paid Social.

You will have real autonomy over campaign performance and budget allocation across several high-spend acquisition channels. We want someone who sets the pace, identifies opportunities and acts on them rather than waiting for direction.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Paid Media Management
    • Manage substantial budgets (£3M+ annually) across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft Ads and Reddit, working closely with the Head of Paid Media.
    • Lead all Paid Social campaigns, with a strong grasp of platform-specific audience mechanics, creative best practices and algorithm behaviour.
    • Build, launch and optimise campaigns end-to-end, from strategy through to post-campaign analysis.
    • Monitor daily performance across all channels, making real-time decisions on budget allocation, bid strategy and creative rotation.
    • Hit and improve KPIs including CPL, CPA, CPC, CTR, RoAS and lead volume targets.
    • Stay ahead of platform updates, beta features and new ad formats – and bring useful ones into the test plan.
  • Analytics & Insight
    • Dive deep into campaign data at the creative, audience, placement and platform level to keep activity on track and drive consistent improvements.
    • Own conversion tracking and attribution setup using GA4, Google Tag Manager, UTMs and platform pixels, including troubleshooting when data doesn't look right.
    • Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights and communicate them succinctly.
    • Produce regular performance reports with narrative and context.
    • Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities proactively and bring recommendations to the table.
  • Testing & Experimentation
    • Design, build and analyse A/B tests and multivariate experiments across creative, copy, audiences and landing pages.
    • Lead incrementality testing to understand the true contribution of paid channels to lead generation.
    • Maintain a structured test-and-learn roadmap and share findings across the wider marketing team.
    • Use broad audience strategies where appropriate to improve delivery efficiency and reduce restrictions from over-segmentation.
  • Speed & Execution
    • Act quickly on insights, with the ability to implement changes and iterate at pace.
    • Manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously across markets and platforms.
    • Take ownership of day-to-day performance with high-degree of individual accountability.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Essential

  • 6 - 8 years hands-on paid media experience, ideally within a lead generation environment.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million-pound annual ad spend and reducing CPA / CPL while scaling volume.
  • Deep expertise in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager, campaign structure, optimisation levers and creative strategy.
  • Strong and hands-on working knowledge of Google Ads across Search, Display and Performance Max.
  • Hands-on with GA4, Google Tag Manager – comfortable implementing tracking, not just reading it.
  • Highly numerate with strong Excel / Google Sheets skills; able to build your own reports and analyse data independently.
  • Naturally curious and data-driven, with a genuine interest in what makes campaigns work.
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining sight of the bigger picture.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused: identifies opportunities and issues early, investigates them thoroughly and brings clear recommendations rather than simply presenting data or problems.
  • Clear communicator who can present performance data and strategic recommendations with confidence.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work at pace in a scaling business.
  • Highly driven and ambitious, with the energy and appetite to make a visible impact in a fast-growing international business.

Desirable

  • Multi-channel breadth; exposure to Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads or other emerging platforms is a real plus.
  • Direct experience running paid media and paid social campaigns in the US market.
  • Background in lead generation, including CPL and margin optimisation and lead quality analysis.
  • Experience working across lead gen environments.
  • Comfort with data analysis, working with large datasets or attribution modelling.
  • Experience managing campaigns at agency level (multi-client) as well as in-house.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within 45 days: fully across all active accounts, tracking validated, baseline performance documented.

Within 90 days: measurable CPA / CPL reduction, structured test-and-learn roadmap in motion, paid social.

Within 12 months: a trusted senior member of the paid media function, working as a close counterpart to the Head of Paid Media and independently driving meaningful improvements in volume, efficiency and commercial performance.

This is a hands-on role for someone ambitious about what they can achieve, who wants genuine ownership and expects to be judged by measurable commercial results rather than activity.

Benefits and Perks

  • Company pension
  • Wellbeing and employee support programme
  • Access to discounted gym memberships and an on-demand GP service
  • Retail and leisure discounts across leading brands (Caffè Nero, Asos, Adidas, and more)
  • Opportunities for professional development and funded training
  • Regular team meet-ups and company events throughout the year
  • Annual summer and Christmas celebrations
  • Free food Fridays and fresh fruit available for staff working on site
  • Discounted garage services for vehicle owners
  • Counselling and financial assistance helplines
