We are currently seeking passionate, caring, and committed Residential Support Workers to join a brand-new solo EBD children’s home in Loughborough. This is a permanent opportunity within a nurturing, home-from-home environment supporting one young person on a 2:1 staffing ratio. This home has been thoughtfully developed to feel warm, welcoming, and truly child-centred. We are looking for individuals with strong personalities, genuine compassion, and a real passion for making a positive and lasting difference in a young person’s life. The Role: As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing consistent, trauma-informed care and emotional support, helping the young person feel safe, valued, and empowered. You’ll work closely with a supportive management team who are highly invested in staff development and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: * Providing high-quality, consistent care in line with the young person’s care plan * Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development * Building strong, positive relationships based on trust and respect * Promoting independence, life skills, and positive decision-making * Maintaining a safe, calm, and nurturing home environment Shift Patterns: * Flexible working available – single shifts or double/triple shifts to suit your lifestyle * 10 long day sleeps per month * Shift pattern is 10:00am – 11:00pm with a sleep in 11:00pm-7:00am (handover until 10:30am) What We’re Looking For: * Previous experience in the children’s residential sector (essential) * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Ideally on the DBS Update Service * A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach * Strong personality with a genuine passion for making a difference * Someone who aligns with a child-centred, family-feel ethos What We Offer: * Permanent position in a brand-new home * Competitive pay plus sleep-in allowance * Strong focus on upskilling and career development * Regular 1:1 support sessions with management to help you grow * Supportive leadership that truly values staff * A positive, homely working environment for both adults and children Please note: An Enhanced DBS check is required as part of our safeguarding commitment.
