About the Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist children's residential home supporting young people with complex emotional, behavioural and additional needs.

You'll be joining a dedicated team committed to helping young people build confidence, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes.
The home supports young people with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
We're looking for resilient, confident individuals who can remain calm under pressure and build trusting relationships with young people who may display challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality day-to-day care and support to children and young people.
- Build positive, professional and trusting relationships.
- Support young people with daily routines, education and individual care needs.
- Plan and participate in engaging activities, hobbies and outings.
- Promote emotional wellbeing, independence and personal development.
- Respond calmly and confidently to challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques.
- Support young people with autism and other additional needs.
- Follow Individual Care Plans, Behaviour Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Maintain clear professional boundaries and provide consistent, therapeutic care.
- Complete accurate daily records, incident reports and handovers.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for each young person.

- Weekend working required on a rota basis
What We're Looking For
We're seeking compassionate, resilient individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people.
You should be confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to remain calm during challenging situations while always promoting positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Have at least 6 months' experience supporting children or young people within a residential childcare setting.
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have a current DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
- Be flexible to work long days, weekends and sleep-in shifts as part of a rota.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Be committed to providing outstanding care and support to vulnerable young people.
