We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to provide high quality, person centred care and support to an individual with complex care needs. This is initially an agency position, with the potential to move into a permanent role depending on your experience, suitability and how the initial temporary shifts go. The Role As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and professional support, following individual care plans and ensuring the person's comfort, dignity and wellbeing at all times. Duties will include: * Providing personal care * Following individual care plans and support plans * PEG feeding * Supporting with medication administration * Supporting an individual with epilepsy * Providing close observation and appropriate support throughout the shift * Promoting dignity, independence and choice * Maintaining accurate care records * Working as part of a professional care team Essential Requirements Candidates must have in-date training certificates for: * PEG Feeding * Epilepsy Awareness * Medication Administration You must also have previous experience working in a support work or care environment and be confident providing personal care. Desirable Experience It would be particularly advantageous if you have experience supporting individuals with: * Rett syndrome * Vegetative state * Neurodevelopmental disorders * Stupor states * Complex or high-dependency care needs * Non-verbal communication needs A full driving licence and access to a vehicle would be preferred, although this is not essential.
