We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to join a group of trauma-informed children’s homes. These homes provide stable, therapeutic care for younger children and are ideal for candidates who are calm, nurturing and committed to long-term outcomes.
The Homes
- There are 3 services in total with younger children aged 5 - 10
- Trauma-informed homes
- All children attend school
- Strong focus on therapeutic care and relationship-building
The Role
- Providing consistent, nurturing care to children aged 5–10
- Supporting children with emotional regulation, routines and development
- Building long-term, therapeutic relationships
- Working as part of a stable, supportive team
Hours & Shifts
- 40 hours per week
- Ability to complete sleep-in shifts when required
- Shift patterns:
- 7:30am – 10:30pm
- 7:30am – 2:30pm
- 2:30pm – 10:30pm
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one – we can process this for you)
- Experience working with children, for example:
- Residential care
- Schools or SEN settings
- Youth work
- Family support or similar
Training & Development
- Team Teach / Positive Behaviour Support
- Restraint & physical intervention training
- Level 3 Residential Childcare Qualification
- Strong emphasis on professional development and support
