About the Role

As a Children\’s Residential Support Worker, you\’ll be supporting young people aged 6-25 across Residential Children\’s Homes and Supported Living services. Your role is to help them feel safe, develop life skills, build confidence and work towards a brighter future.

This is a hands‑on, active role where you\’ll be involved in everything from daily routines to engaging activities, behaviour support and emotional guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent emotional, practical and behavioural support
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and positive environment
• Promote independence through structured routines and life skills
• Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
• Support individuals with challenging behaviours, trauma and complex needs
• Participate in community‑based and in‑house activities
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver high‑quality care
• Follow safeguarding principles and Children’s Home Regulations (Ofsted)

What We’re Looking For

• Full‑time availability (Essential)
• Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle (Essential)
• Minimum 6 months’ UK social care experience (children or adults)
• Proactive, resilient and confident approach
• Genuine passion for supporting young people
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred – can be arranged)
