Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children is at the heart of all assessments and interventions.
- Observe, supervise, record, and assess family interactions, child behaviour, and parental capacity.
- Deliver a respectful and strength‑based service, valuing each family's experiences and background.
- Work closely with managers and other professionals to support family progress and ensure high-quality practice.
- Challenge and teach parenting practices sensitively and appropriately.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional supervision.
- Maintain accurate, timely records in line with organisational standards.
- Support with general childcare duties and day‑to‑day centre operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience in the UK in a relevant setting (social care, SEN, NHS, teaching assistant, or care home).
- Strong communication, observation, and report‑writing skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to promoting positive outcomes for children and families.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
- A driving licence is not essential.
Shift Pattern
- 4-week rolling rota, working a mix of:
- 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
- 2:30 pm – 10:00 pm
