Residential Support Worker in Barnstaple

Children’s Support Workers We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Children’s Support Workers to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, providing high-quality care and emotional support in a safe, nurturing environment. Home is Located around North Devon (Barnstaple area), location will be given if successful for interview process As a Children’s Support Worker, you will play a key role in promoting the emotional well-being, independence, and rights of the young people in your care. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help ensure that every child feels safe, respected, and empowered. The home currently support between 1 and 2 young people with complex SEMHD. Key Responsibilities: * Delivering consistent, high-quality care in line with individual care plans * Supporting the emotional, behavioural, and social development of young people * Helping young people make informed choices and develop life skills * Maintaining a safe, structured, and non-judgemental environment Shift Pattern: * 8am - 11pm * 2 on 4 off (2 x 24 hour shifts with sleep ins followed by 4 days off) Requirements: * A minimum of 6 months experience working with children or young people in a similar setting * A full UK driving licence * A calm, committed, compassionate, and empathetic nature * A proactive and resilient approach with a strong “can-do” attitude Please note: The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of our rigorous safeguarding process.
