We are seeking experienced and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to a young woman with complex care needs. This is a flexible agency role, with shifts offered on an ad-hoc basis as they become available. Successful candidates must be comfortable working both day and night shifts and have good overall availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing person-centred care and support in accordance with the individual's care plan.
- Supporting with PEG feeding and monitoring for any concerns or complications.
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting where required.
- Supporting with mobility and daily living activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in the individual's condition.
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing at all times.
- Building positive and professional relationships with the individual, their family, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment while adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work both day and waking night shifts.
- Good availability and flexibility to accept shifts at short notice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, compassionate, and reliable nature.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Moving and handling practical training is required.
- You do not need to be PEG-FED trained but need to have knowledge on this.
This position is offered on an agency basis, providing flexibility for candidates who are able to pick up shifts as they become available while delivering exceptional standards of care and support.
