Are you passionate about supporting families and helping children thrive in a safe, nurturing environment? We are recruiting a Family Assessment Worker to join a dedicated team in Coventry, providing vital support and supervision to families as part of a comprehensive assessment service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children is at the heart of all assessments and interventions.
  • Observe, supervise, record, and assess family interactions, child behaviour, and parental capacity.
  • Deliver a respectful and strength-based service, valuing each family's experiences and background.
  • Work closely with managers and other professionals to support family progress and ensure high-quality practice.
  • Challenge and teach parenting practices sensitively and appropriately.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional supervision.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in line with organisational standards.
  • Support with general childcare duties and day-to-day centre operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in the UK in a relevant setting (social care, SEN, NHS, teaching assistant, or care home).
  • Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to promoting positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • A driving licence is not essential.

Shift Pattern: 4-week rolling rota, working a mix of: 7:30am - 3:00pm, 2:30pm - 10:00pm.
