Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a residential children's home supporting young people who may have experienced complex trauma, emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours . The Role Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and support to children and young people. Take a lead role on shift, ensuring young people receive consistent and appropriate support. Build positive, trusting relationships while providing structure, boundaries and emotional support. Support young people with complex trauma, emotional and behavioural needs. Promote independence, confidence and positive development through daily activities and life skills. Support and guide other staff members, leading by example and maintaining high standards of care. Ensure care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and records are followed and maintained. Assist the management team with the smooth day-to-day running of the home. About You Previous experience within a residential children's setting is desirable Experience supporting young people with complex trauma and challenging or complex behaviours is highly desirable. Confident taking responsibility for a shift and supporting other members of the team. Calm, resilient and able to provide consistent support in challenging situations. Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills. Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People/Residential Care is desirable. Full UK driving licence is desirable. Shift Pattern This is a shift-based role and will include evenings, weekends and approximately 1 sleep-in per week. TPBN1_UKTJ
