We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Residential Child Support Workers to join our growing agency team supporting children and young people across residential children's homes and supported accommodation settings. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young people while benefiting from flexible agency work.
As a Residential Child Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people with a range of complex needs and backgrounds. The young people we support may experience:
- Learning disabilities
- Placement breakdowns in foster or adoptive homes
- Criminal exploitation or child sexual exploitation
- Substance misuse
- Vulnerabilities and risks within the community
You will play a key role in creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment while supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and develop independence by:
- Supporting young people with day-to-day routines and activities
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and independence
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of young people at all times
- Working closely with permanent staff and external professionals
Requirements:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to drive
- Have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children or young people in residential childcare, supported accommodation, youth work or similar settings
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
- Be flexible to work a variety of shifts
