We are seeking an experienced Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioner to join a small, nurturing therapeutic children's home supporting children aged 4-10 years. This role is suited to someone who can act as a therapeutic parental figure, offering emotional safety, consistency, and positive role modelling within a trauma-informed, relationship-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, therapeutic care to children on a day-to-day basis
- Act as a senior role model, supporting and guiding care staff
- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy in the running of the home
- Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment
- Contribute to care planning, safeguarding, and Ofsted compliance
About You:
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)
- Have at least 2 years experience in children's residential care
- Demonstrate a calm, nurturing, and emotionally available approach
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
- A registered driver
