We are looking for compassionate and resilient Residential Support Workers to support children and young people aged 6-18 within a nurturing residential setting. The young people we support may present with challenging behaviours and a range of additional needs, including ADHD, autism and global developmental disorders.

This role requires someone who can provide consistent, trauma-informed care while building strong, positive relationships.

  • Build meaningful and trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Support daily routines, including mornings, education, activities and evening routines
  • Promote independence, social skills and emotional wellbeing
  • Engage young people in activities and positive experiences
  • Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours
  • Work as part of a team to provide consistent, high-quality care
  • Support children with additional needs including ADHD, autism and developmental delays

Shift Patterns:

  • ~7:00am - 10:00pm shifts
  • ~ Sleep-in shifts available

Requirements:

  • Ability to engage effectively with young people and build strong relationships
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a professional and supportive manner
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young people (residential care, schools, youth work, SEN, family support or similar)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ongoing training and professional development
