At SCP Infrastructure & Design, an RSK Group company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality highways and drainage solutions across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established engineer who is ready to step up — leading technical delivery, mentoring others, and acting as a trusted point of expertise within a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the technical delivery of highways and drainage designs on medium to large projects
  • Producing and checking drawings, calculations, and specifications to a high standard
  • Providing day-to-day technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians
  • Coordinating design inputs and managing workloads to meet programme deadlines
  • Reviewing outputs to ensure compliance with standards, legislation, and best practice
  • Supporting client engagement and contributing to design discussions and solutions
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and championing quality across the team

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in highways and drainage design (roads, foul & surface water)
  • Proven background across multiple sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.)
  • Experience producing technical reports such as Drainage Strategies, FRAs and O&M Manuals
  • Confident communicator with the ability to guide and influence others
  • Strong design software and Microsoft Office capability
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to engineering challenges
  • Full UK driving licence
