We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure in Leeds, to lead the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. This is a senior, client-facing role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and technical oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in managing multidisciplinary teams, maintaining excellent client relationships and supporting the continued growth of SCP.

Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership & Delivery
    • Lead and manage projects through all stages of the project lifecycle
    • Define, agree and manage project programmes, milestones and deliverables
    • Coordinate design teams, manage package handovers and approvals
    • Proactively manage project risks, scope changes and delivery challenges
    • Maintain project risk registers and implement mitigation strategies
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
    • Build and maintain strong, proactive client relationships
    • Communicate progress, risks and expectations clearly and effectively
    • Prepare and present progress reports, proposals and project documentation
  • Financial & Commercial Management
    • Manage project budgets, financial performance and forecasting
    • Prepare fee proposals and contribute to larger bids and tenders
    • Oversee WIP, invoicing, debtor management and financial reporting
    • Manage appointments, sub-consultants and purchase orders
    • Support contractual matters and liaise with legal teams where required
  • Programme, Planning & Resource Management
    • Develop detailed project plans and communication strategies
    • Estimate resource requirements and manage team capacity
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project objectives
    • Lead weekly workload planning and prioritisation

  • Proven experience delivering transport or infrastructure projects within a consultancy environment
  • Strong project management, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and fee proposals
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with clients and multidisciplinary teams
