This senior, client-facing role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and technical oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain excellent client relationships and support the continued growth of SCP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Delivery
    • Lead and manage projects through all stages of the project lifecycle.
    • Define, agree and manage project programmes, milestones and deliverables.
    • Coordinate design teams, manage package handovers and approvals.
    • Proactively manage project risks, scope changes and delivery challenges.
    • Maintain project risk registers and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong, proactive client relationships.
    • Communicate progress, risks and expectations clearly and effectively.
    • Prepare and present progress reports, proposals and project documentation.
  • Financial & Commercial Management
    • Manage project budgets, financial performance and forecasting.
    • Prepare fee proposals and contribute to larger bids and tenders.
    • Oversee WIP, invoicing, debtor management and financial reporting.
    • Manage appointments, sub-consultants and purchase orders.
    • Support contractual matters and liaise with legal teams where required.
  • Programme, Planning & Resource Management
    • Develop detailed project plans and communication strategies.
    • Estimate resource requirements and manage team capacity.
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project objectives.
    • Lead weekly workload planning and prioritisation.

  • Proven experience delivering transport or infrastructure projects within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong project management, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and fee proposals.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organised, proactive and solutions-focused.
