Location: Youlbury, Oxford (OX1 5HD) – on site

Contract: Permanent | 35 hours per week

Salary: Β£34,359 per annum (including Market Supplement), Band D, Level 3

About the role

We're looking for a Facilities Technician to help keep our buildings safe, welcoming and running smoothly. You'll carry out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, complete compliance checks, spot and fix issues before they become bigger problems, and support projects across our sites. With plenty of variety, no two days are the same, and you'll have the trust to manage your own workload while making a real difference every day.

What you'll be doing as our Facilities Technician:

  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across our buildings and estate.
  • Inspect sites, diagnose faults, and carry out compliance and preventative maintenance.
  • Manage your own workload, materials, and maintenance records.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Work with contractors, volunteers, and colleagues to deliver maintenance projects.
  • Maintain tools and equipment while supporting the wider Facilities team.

What we're looking for in our Facilities Technician:

  • Experience in facilities, maintenance, or a multi-trade role.
  • Comfortable doing hands-on practical work.
  • Able to manage your own workload.
  • Good understanding of health and safety.
  • Physically able to do manual work (including lifting up to 25kg).
  • Completed a recognized City & Guilds or NVQ Diploma (or equivalent) in a trade such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
  • Full UK driving licence.
