Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join their customer focused team. You will ideally be located in Glasgow, Falkirk, Edinburgh. Your role will be to develop new customer sign-ups and building and sustaining existing customer relationships. Along with building and developing relationships with wider industry representatives such as wholesaler sales team/sales representative and directors/owners of companies. This is a full time permanent role. OTE £55k – £60k including commission and includes a company car, two bonuses a year plus an annual pay review. Key Responsibilities: * Delivering sales numbers to reach expected sales revenue (mix of new and old business development). * Listening and responding to customer requirements, seeking solutions and presenting appropriately to make a sale. * Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails. * Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business. * Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries internally and externally. * Acting as the contact between the company and its existing and potential markets for future sales development. * Represent the business at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations. * Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends and the needs of retailers at the local level. * Identify new sectors and business opportunities. * Review your own sales performance and seek feedback from your line manager. * Attend and contribute to regular sales team meetings. Key Skills Required: * Proven experience in building long term relationships in a sales role, preferably in the convenience or retail sector. * Experience within the forecourt/fuel supply industry. * Ability to cope with rejection and the ability to be tenacious in chasing sales. * You can flourish in a competitive environment. * Experienced and confident communicator. * Motivated, outgoing, organised individual with a structured reliable approach actively seeking and developing customer relationships. * An open and honest person, comfortable working on your own and part of a wider team. * Clean driving licence. * Demonstrable sales experience preferably in the convenience/forecourt sector. * Ability to work effectively and professionally remotely e.g. at home and on the road. * Strong work ethic and able to work on own initiative and proven experience of travelling to meet sales targets and develop relationships.
