We are seeking an experienced Reporting and Systems Team Leader to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality data management systems, dashboards, and reporting services. You will play a key role in driving data insights to support business performance, decision making, and operational efficiency. This is a senior position requiring strong technical expertise in SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, and information management — with a focus on innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement. This is a full-time permanent role and is primarily remote working but will require occasional travel to Peterborough and other local sites. Salary is £45,500 per annum plus a host of excellent non‑salary benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Reporting and Systems Team, managing developers and analysts to deliver efficient and innovative data solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, BI dashboards, and automated reporting systems.
- Produce accurate, timely, and insightful management reports to meet internal and external business requirements.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure data systems are integrated and scalable.
- Oversee data governance, accuracy, and security in all core information systems.
- Optimise the performance, reliability, and integrity of the organisation's databases.
- Develop advanced data visualisation using Power BI and other BI tools.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery protocols to safeguard business‑critical data.
- Continuously enhance systems, processes, and data workflows to improve reporting efficiency.
- Manage system upgrades, integrations, and technical troubleshooting in collaboration with IT and Infrastructure teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise on MIS/BI systems strategy, data compliance, and reporting best practice.
- Mentor team members, manage workloads, set objectives, and conduct performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for reports and applications.
- Identify opportunities to drive automation, efficiency, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation.
