Position: Permanent, Full-Time (Guaranteed Hours)
Earnings: £12.65/hr basic | £15.81/hr Overtime
OTE: £37,133 (Based on a 50-hour week: 40 basic hours + 10 hours regular overtime, plus daily completion bonuses)

We are currently hiring a Transit Driver to join our busy Leeds team. Operating out of our Leeds Skelton Grange depot, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the seamless movement of waste containers while giving our clients total peace of mind and an excellent first impression. This is a hands‑on role for a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, exceptional customer service, and maintaining high vehicle standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Service Delivery: Responsibly collect, exchange, and deliver waste bins and containers from customer sites safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Customer Service: Communicate with customers upon arrival on‑site in a professional, friendly manner, always ensuring exceptional service.
- Compliance & Tech: Carry out thorough daily vehicle safety checks, report defects promptly, and ensure company vehicles are kept in excellent condition.
- Admin & Data: Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, report daily, and maintain strict compliance with Data Protection and GDPR throughout all activities.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
- Days: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rotational basis.
- Start Times: Early morning starts, typically starting around 05:00 AM until finish.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential Requirement: A full, clean UK driving licence (Category B).
- Experience: Previous experience in a multi‑drop delivery or collection environment is preferred. A strong geographical knowledge of the local area is a major plus.
- Physical Fitness: A strong work ethic with a practical, 'hands‑on' approach is required, as the role involves manual handling and the movement of commercial containers.
- Skills: Excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills. Any background working outdoors is a distinct positive.
