About the Role

Join Panda Waste at our Quarrington depot (NG34 8NX) and play a vital role in the UK’s circular economy. We are looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team. This is for drivers who enjoy the independence of the road and are looking to maximise their earnings with consistent overtime.

The Package

  • Basic Rate: £14.50 per hour
  • Overtime pay (for hours worked over 40 per week):
    • Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 1.5 hourly rate
    • Saturdays: 1.5x hourly rate
    • Bank Holidays: 2x hourly rate
  • Paid breaks
  • High Earnings: 20 hours of overtime available weekly
  • Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday
  • Starts: Between 05:00 and 06:00

The Role

Based out of our Quarrington depot, you will safely operate Class 1 vehicles transporting waste materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles for waste collection and delivery.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
  • Maintain digital tachograph records and comply with WTD regulations.
  • Provide professional service at all collection and delivery points.

What You’ll Need

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 Licence (with current CPC and Digital Tacho).
  • Experience: Proven Class 1 driving experience (Waste experience preferred).
  • Communication: Good standard of English and professional attitude.
