We are a well-established, family-run independent garage and MOT test centre looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. We’re a busy workshop with a steady local customer base, modern diagnostic equipment, and a strong reputation for doing the job properly. We need someone reliable, capable, and safety-minded who takes pride in their work.

The role includes:

  • Servicing, maintenance and general repairs
  • Brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts and mechanical repair work
  • Diagnostic checks and fault-finding using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Vehicle inspections and identifying required repairs
  • Working safely and accurately on customer vehicles
  • Keeping job cards clear and communicating issues properly

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or similar
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and practical repair ability
  • Able to work confidently with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Good attention to detail and a safe, methodical approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own tools preferred
  • City & Guilds, SVQ or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential
  • MOT tester status would be an advantage but is not essential
