Overview

Project Delivery Lead at ScottishPower. SP Energy Networks (SPEN) has initiated an ambitious security transformation programme to reduce risk, achieve compliance with NIS regulations and deliver a cyber resilient business. The programme of work has commenced and will deliver throughout 2025/6 and beyond into the RIIO T3 and ED3 price control periods.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • The Project Delivery Lead’s prime responsibility is to ensure projects are delivered on time to the standards set, and that the projects meet the defined business case.
  • Within this role, you’ll contribute to investment dossier and RFP/tender exercises, initiate and manage Cyber projects, direct and motivate project team members, plan and monitor the project delivery.
  • You’ll agree any delegation and use of PMO roles required by the project board, produce the Project Initiation Document (PID), prepare Project Plans in conjunction with Team Managers and appointed PMO roles and agree them with the NIS Programme Delivery Manager.
  • This role will be responsible for Cyber infrastructure and software delivery projects, as well as running projects related to governance, data security and backup/disaster recovery. You’ll prepare reporting, manage budgets, and manage the project RAID, including the development of contingency plans.
  • A key part of the role will be to ensure full awareness of regulatory Price Control Deliverable (PCD) milestones for projects, ensuring all PCDs are met, liaising with and supporting the wider business teams.

  • Preparing and reporting to the Project Board.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience leading business IT/ OT projects & managing stakeholders
  • Experience or awareness of Agile delivery approaches and frameworks
  • Prince2 Methodology accreditation or similar
  • Ability to work to a governance framework and ensure deliveries are aligned to strategy
  • Experience of leading and implementing strategic change through to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive others to make things happen
  • Demonstrated achievement of measurable improvements or successful outcomes
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
