Our corporate business is responsible for providing training support services for all in ScottishPower. Join us in this rewarding role within Technical Training, as an experienced craftsperson to deliver a range of craft skills, where we focus on a wide range of discipline training that is applied to our new apprentice workforce, existing employees, and contractors.
You\’ll become part of a well-established craft team with a wide range of knowledge and experience. Our main aim is to deliver training that is set at a high standard, current and covers all safety aspects that meet the needs of all our business units. Jointing us will give you the opportunity to develop and grow whilst being supported by our excellent team.
What you will be doing

Delivery training that meets business needs and complies with Technical Training processes

Provide comprehensive support in relation to all technical training need analysis

Support the development of training content and evaluations for internal and external customers.

Provide knowledge and expertise to the business regarding specific products and technique development.

Support the design, development, and delivery of operational safety programmes.

Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation.

Monitor/review all training delivery methods to ensure quality and compliance with standard required.

Ensure the effective utilisation of the varied training/learning solutions available.

Coach and mentor staff to meet individual needs.

Provided comprehensive reports to support growth of trainees and delegates.
What you\’ll bring

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

Good knowledge of craft disciplines

Working Knowledge of health & safety legislation

Understanding of Microsoft applications – Preferred PC skills – Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, working practice and constraints

An understanding of company electrical safety rules – policies and procedures

Knowledge, understanding and ability/confidence to deliver a number of craft and technical courses to a wide range of staff required to work safely within the electricity supply industry
Minimum Criteria

A craft apprenticeship or equivalent training, as well as city & guilds II or equivalent electrical qualification.

Previous experience as a recognised craftsperson, jointer, fitter or linesman

Understanding of Microsoft applications – Preferred PC skills – Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Full valid driving licence

LV Network knowledge is preferable but not essential.
