Purpose
We are seeking an experienced manager with a strategic mindset. As a digital specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing, executing, and optimising digital acquisition campaigns.
The key purpose of the role is to support the development of sales and quality strategy for the UK within the digital sales channel, to become a strategic enabler for growth and key contributor to the overall customer growth target.
What you\’ll be doing
Strategic Planning & Delivery:
- Support the sales development manager within the digital team to identify growth opportunities, and oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of digital acquisition campaigns
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and design tailored digital sales strategies.
- Collaborate to create detailed campaign plans, timelines and budgets.
Performance Optimisation:
- Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and industry best practices to feed into the sales development manager ensuring digital strategies are improving online presence and driving ROI.
- Data-driven optimisation: Identify opportunities and implement data-driven improvements for continual campaign optimisation.
- Liaise with 3rd parties to support an effective SEO & Content Optimisation delivery plan: Conducting keyword research, monitor rankings, and propose content improvements.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital campaigns and platforms. Feeding into performance reports and creating actionable insights to drive growth.
Insight and analysis:
- Insight generation: Provide valuable insights and direction for optimising digital experiences using digital tools.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of competitors\’ digital strategies to benchmark our performance and identify areas where we can gain a competitive advantage.
- Stay updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in digital marketing, ecommerce, and technology. Suggest and implement new tools, techniques, and strategies to maintain a competitive edge for our clients.
Relationship management:
- Communicate campaign progress, results, and future recommendations effectively.
- Proactively identify opportunities for upselling additional products and services.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Support the exploration and adoption of new digital tools and platforms.
- Feed in ideas to develop the ScottishPower digital journey and strategy
What you\’ll bring
- Understanding of the Energy Industry and specifically sales processes
- Influencing and relationship management skills given the dependency on internal resources and external third parties for success.
- The ability to understand complexity quickly and make decisions with confidence and clarity based on that understanding.
- An understanding of the Energy marketplace and its commercial value is preferred, but not essential
- Detailed understanding of the key components of customer value and how to leverage them accordingly
- Ability to prioritise work and deliver results whilst managing multiple stakeholders and competing demands within a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
Minimum Criteria
- Proven as a strong collaborator with excellent communication skills
- Proven experience in digital acquisition with a focus on operational delivery and sales growth.
- Demonstrated success in strategising and executing high-performing digital marketing campaigns including growth via affiliate or partner platforms.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Google Analytics, or other relevant platforms.
- Good understanding of SEO best practices and experience with content optimisation.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management ability
- Highly Numerate and analytical with ability to understand financial models and manage budgets
- Familiarity with email marketing tools and best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and recommend data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management and time management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
