Credit Risk Account Manager β Wrexham or Glasgow
Salary from Β£47,200 β Β£59,000 per annum Permanent Hybrid working.
Job overview: Provide expert support to the Customer Business collections function focusing on credit reference agencies for consumer and business customers. Articulate business ideas, develop business cases, improve processes, coordinate policies, and manage data sharing with credit agencies.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and implement credit risk policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies comply with industry regulations and liaise with Data Protection Officer and Legal team.
- Provide intra-departmental guidance on customer behavior, portfolio stability, and debt risk policies.
- Develop specifications for the use of credit reference agencies and data sharing in line with regulations.
- Identify process gaps and frame problem in business and SAP terms.
- Identify project opportunities and manage full project lifecycle using appropriate tools.
- Identify suitable tools and reports to monitor risk policy effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on departmental adherence to policies with KPIs.
- Manage internal credit risk referrals process, evaluating customer account performance for authorisation decisions.
- Support delivery of business improvement change plans.
Qualifications
- Commercial, collections, or dunning experience; degree level or equivalent.
- Knowledge of domestic and commercial debt, risk, and collections processes.
- Understanding of domestic and commercial sales processes.
- Experience in credit management/risk activities or membership of credit management bodies.
- Customer management skills and experience of driving change, system implementation.
- Strong business case, financial and cost modelling development skills.
- Strong customer focus, analytical thinking, and creativity to resolve challenges.
- Excellent networking and communication skills at all organisational levels.
- Experience maintaining quality assurance processes.
- People management and change management track record.
- Effective influence and negotiation skills; ability to prioritise workloads and deliver on timelines.
- Knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques.
