The people we support enjoy engaging in all kinds of activities in their local community such as swimming, walks, trips to the cinema, dancing, dining out and arts and crafts. This role is an excellent opportunity to support people to engage in activities that they love and develop independence and new skills, working within a wider multi-disciplinary team.

Autism Practitioners work as part of a team to:

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure the person’s life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support
  • Make informed choices using their preferred communication methods
  • Take part in their chosen activities, attending local events, shopping, going on holiday etc.
  • Complete all necessary tasks which enable them to maintain their homes, including paying bills and supporting them to make the decisions that matter to them
  • Live as independently as possible with support with various life skills and may include support with personal care

A full UK driving licence is desirable for this role, though not essential. Drivers help us offer more opportunities for supported individuals to engage in their communities.
