Inverurie area. **What you’ll do** You’ll help carry out a private septic tank service to domestic and commercial customers where our drivers act as ambassadors for us with these customers. The team operates across all areas of Scotland and utilise both rigid and articulated tankers removing sludge from various Wastewater Treatment Plants and Public septic tanks. You will ensure all work undertaken complies with all relevant Health and Safety Regulations, completing vehicle checks and inspections, liaising with fleet on aspect of vehicle maintenance, repairs, servicing, and MOT’s. You will also ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Scottish Water policies and procedures relating to sludge transportation. **What you’ll bring** We’ll get you fully up to speed on the technical bits of the job. You’ll bring strong communication skills and confidence working on your own. We are also looking for you to have the ability to ensure your work is delivered professionally, efficiently and on time, play a key role optimising Tanker usage for Scottish Water. Can plan and prioritise your work whilst maintaining a flexible approach to accommodate changing priorities and be able to build trust and credibility with customers who you interact with, being focussed on their needs and acting as an ambassador for Scottish Water. Ideally, we would like you to be a holder of a valid CPC card and valid Cat C license. **Looking out for you** While the work we do is important, we know it’s not the only thing that matters. That’s why we make sure you have everything you need to find a good work-life balance. This role has some weekend working and standby requirements. But you’ll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). And you can even buy five more if you need a little extra time. The not-so-small print This role will be a Grade 3. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £25,980. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £32,850.
