What you’ll do Spend your summer diving into the fascinating journey of wastewater – from homes and businesses, through treatment facilities, and back into the environment. You’ll get involved in different areas, including how we treat wastewater, working with multifunctional teams, and even exploring project management on live onsite developments. With our team covering a huge area – from Argyll to Wick – you’ll see how we tackle challenges across different locations and environments. Along the way, you’ll work with friendly, experienced professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that help keep our operations sustainable and efficient. This internship is your chance to bring your STEM studies to life, develop teamwork and problem-solving skills, and gain hands-on experience in a unique and impactful industry. This is a paid summer internship with an hourly rate of £12.60, aligned with the Real Living Wage. This is typically a full-time position (35 hours), but we’re open to discussing flexible working patterns where possible to suit your needs. For a 35-hour week, the equivalent annual salary would be around £23,020, pro-rated for the length of the internship. What you’ll need You’ll be in the penultimate year of university, or maybe about to do a Masters. Either way, you’ll be on course for at least a 2:2 degree.
