At Scottish Water we look after Scotland's most precious natural resource, guarding its reputation for refreshingly pure water while caring for our environment. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Sewer Response team in the Fife, Forth Valley and Perthshire area.
What You’ll Do
- Your number-one priority is resolving customer issues. You’ll take control of any situation, investigate problems, and come up with solutions that make customers happy – always keeping them updated.
- You’ll also carry out choke clearing activities on our sewer network and maintenance on sewer network infrastructure, plant, equipment, and vehicle checks.
- All while putting health and safety first, working to our combined sewer response activities risk assessments and keeping our sites to Chapter 8 NSRWA.
- Accurate reports are essential, so you will be across reporting systems for measuring performance and productivity.
- You will generally be working as a single‑man team and participating on a 1‑in‑5 standby rota for out‑of‑hours work.
- Full training will be provided before you work on your own or go on stand‑by, and depending on previous experience you will typically be in training for at least one year.
What You’ll Bring
- You’ll need to be self‑motivated and able to work alone while contributing to team goals.
- Basic IT skills and report‑writing ability are must‑haves.
- A full, clean driving licence is required, and an HGV licence is essential; training will be provided if you do not currently possess one.
- Nice to haves include experience with HGVs, tachographs, high‑pressure water jetting equipment, and health and safety principles for site work.
- Holding a CPC, CPCS, or NSRWA qualification would be great, but is not required.

- The normal hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 15:30.
- You will receive 38 days of holiday each year, including public holidays.

- If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join on a starting salary of £31,640. Performance‑driven pay progression can increase this to a maximum of £36,460.
